I’m a Jesus follower, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, student, editor, blogger, small business owner…and the list goes on and on. I love the written word, and I have a passion for sharing with others. I fell in love with my husband at the ripe old age of 16 and we’ve been married for three years. I’m blessed to have a husband who is supportive and always up for an adventure. We became a family of three a year and a half into marriage and I wouldn’t trade it for anything — I’m so thankful to be Warren’s mommy. But obviously, none of this would be possible without the Lord, who has blessed me far beyond what I deserve.

Hey y’all, I don’t know much about this whole blogging thing but here I am to embrace the unknown. Part of this growth — growth into living a life for Christ and being a better husband and father — has led me to understand the importance of intentional living. The other contributors here are women, so I hope to share a story much different from theirs. I want this to serve as a reminder as to how important a man’s role is in the family as well as within the Church itself.

I first met the Sneads when Brently started working for our college newspaper. The day she stepped into our office was a day that the Lord blessed me. I’ve grown to truly love this little family and am honored to be a part of the Tribe. When I’m not writing for the blog, I divide my time between substitute teaching and other freelance writing gigs. A proud plant Mama, I dream of one day living on a farm in Ireland surrounded by green grass, goats and the greatest library the world has ever seen. My deepest wish is to always use my talents in service of the Lord and my fellow man.

Kala Penticuff, Guest Writer
When Brently asked me to be a guest writer for The Snead Tribe, I could not have been more excited. I am blessed to be related to this family through marriage (to Dustin’s cousin, Derrick). I am a Christian, a secretary, a free-lance editor, and an abolitionist. My passion lies in counter-trafficking, preventing and raising awareness about human trafficking in its various forms. I see the image of our Creator in each human life and believe that life to be incredibly precious. In the next ten years, I hope that you can find me at an organization that performs rescue operations and reintegrates trafficking survivors into communities across the globe.

I have really enjoyed watching Dustin and Brently’s relationship grow from marriage to parenthood. Sharing on their blog has been a blessing! I love discussing the experiences the Lord has given me!
